History

  • 1995 – Started as informal “IS Heads” meeting at ACIS in Perth and have met annually at ACIS since then.
  • 1996 – Ran IS curriculum workshop in September.
  • 1996 – Formation of ACPHIS agreed at ACIS in Hobart in December.
  • 1997 – Published proceedings “The Australian Debate on Information Systems Curriculum”.
  • 1997 – At Adelaide ACIS it was agreed to formalize ACPHIS with draft statement of procedures and rules and elect interim committee.
  • 1998 – 1st official committee elected at ACIS in Sydney in September.
  • 1999 – ACPHIS formally incorporated in January.
  • 1999 – Began annual ACPHIS Workshop on Information Systems Curriculum and Research at Macquarie (Sydney)
  • 2000 – ACPHIS Workshop at VUT (Melbourne)
  • 2001 – ACPHIS Workshop at Newcastle (Central Coast)
  • 2002 – ACPHIS Workshop at ANU (Canberra)
  • 2003 – ACPHIS Workshop at UTS (Sydney)
  • 2003 – Inaugural ACPHIS PhD Medal
  • 2004 – ACPHIS Workshop at QUT (Brisbane)
